© 2012 New York Youth Musicians

One aspect of being a musician is performing.

From the very beginning, performing at New York Youth Musicians is introduced as exciting, challenging and fun.

New York Youth Musicians closes the school year with their grand concert in Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Center.

Steps away from Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall is a professional concert hall which is often home to performances by

The New York Philharmonic and various solo artists. Students are chosen to perform in this concert based on their level of dedication throughout the year, not necessarily the most advanced students.

During the holiday season, NYYM puts together a nice holiday concert in Brooklyn’s Roulette Performance Hall.

This concert is a fun and casual display of progress mid-year and also a nice way for students and families to reconnect in between the finale concert in June at Merkin Hall.

High school seniors have the option of performing a solo recital if they are ready with enough repertoire.  We strongly encourage students to take this opportunity to perform for their family and friends.  For those students going away for college and cannot continue with studies at New York Youth Musicians, it’s the perfect way to close the chapter of their time here.
